Honoring the Buffalo Pipe Ceremony with Kevin Smokyday

Join us to honor and welcome the Buffalo to Belwin with a pipe ceremony led by Kevin Smokyday at Belwin Conservancy on Saturday, May 16 from 8:00–10:30am. We will gather at 2612 St. Croix Trail S, Afton, MN 55001 for the ceremony with a feast to follow. All pipe bearers are invited to bring their pipes.

All Indigenous community members and trusted partners are welcome, and invited to bring any sacred items, as well as a dish to share.

This is a free event, but we request you register so we can best prepare for the refreshments and parking arrangements. We recommend you consider carpooling as parking is quite limited at the site.

Please note: This event is separate from the Belwin Bison Festival and Bison Release.
